Garden

You know good things are happening when the garden starts to sprout. Yipee! We are growing a garden. We only have room for an itty bitty teeny tiny one but it sure makes me relish the spring and summer time. I have herbs sprouting in my window sill, and I'm imagining the tomatoes, peppers, rhubarb and green onions that are taking root in the back yard.  There maybe some strawberries and blueberries added to a pot and trellis here very soon. I can't wait!

What would you grow with a 10x10 foot back yard? As soon as we build a deck I'll add potted plants to the mix. Look out 2013!

And just a quick observation. The folks here in Maryland don't seem to have much yard, as the majority of us suburban dwellers live in town homes, but goodness gracious do these people take their yards seriously!  Are we up to snuff? I'm working on it. We have our push mower (yes the old fashioned kind with no motor...I will get a pic of Rob the next time we use it...I'm imagining a much bigger yard one day and maybe using that as thinking/punishment time for unruly teenagers?), two hoses, and some clippers to keep the place spic and span. I still think I need to kick it up a notch I 'll see what I can do.

I was thinking of doing a window sill herb garden, but wasn't sure how. How did you set yours up?
