Two Things...

1. Today I had a lunch break adventure. I want to make a good impression for my first week, and I happened to conveniently run out of deodorant this morning. So I head to the nearest grocery store, find the most expensive antiperspirant I've ever purchased, and head to the register. Once the cashier has rung up my single item she then just stands there and looks away. I'm holding a ten dollar bill out to her. After about a minute (or what felt like a minute) I "ahemed" in her direction, to which she looked confusedly my way and a light bulb fortunately flashed on. She took the money. It seemed as though in all her time at Harmons, she had only run plastic. To my delight, adding insult to injury, she did not place the change in my hand, like every other grocery store clerk. No no, she lightly tosses the bill at me. The laughter I stifled and wondered if I really smelled that bad. Ha ha!

2. As I am ever current about "hip" comings and goings, please check out the website of Bompas & Parr. It's a pair of gentlemen, from the UK, who make the most outrageous confections, as art. Their specialty seems to be jelly architecture, and they were featured on the news tonight, for an inhaled version of gin and tonic. Need I say more. The photo above is a link to this sugary delight.

Look what I made!

So I was feeling crafty these past few days. I don't think that is a new feeling for me, it just seemed my muse was out and it was time to go to work. So I finally figured out how to complete our bedroom decorations! I was so excited! It's really easy: Buy wooden letters, trace the letters on scrapbook paper and cut out slightly smaller, then mod-podge the paper to the letters. Vua la! Happy Mothers Day!

Garden

Welcome Spring! I made a liar out of myself with that last post. Back to regular blogging in a couple weeks? Woops! Let's try a few months. How about a quick update then shall we?:
  1. I got married. No big deal, huh?
  2. I moved back to Provo, from Colorado Springs.
  3. I recently joined the work force following a VERY long and aggravating search. I am now an executive assistant, meaning I landed my very first real adult salaried job.
  4. My sister got engaged last night! (Two weddings for my parents in a matter of 6 months!)
  5. My tennis game has vastly improved.
  6. We are growing a garden!
I'm so excited to show you the progress of the garden. Funny how the little things in life are the best. The first one sprouting is the broccoli! We'll have to transplant outside soon!
