{ SERIOUSLY? }

This is the note we found on our door the other day from the apartment management:

"Dear Resident:

This has been a hard winter for all of us, including the heat pumps! Typically, a heat pump extracts warmth from the outside air and it moves the warmth to the inside living areas. When the temperature is around 40 degrees Fahrenheit or below outside, a heat pump needs help from auxiliary heat, which is a less efficient emergency heat that runs off of coils in the inside unit.

We have received numerous complaints about high electric bills and it is caused by the exceptionally cold temperatures we have had. If you have questions about your electric bill call the power company."

So essentially what I read was, "We are cheap. We put in crappy heaters in the first place. We are trying to justify ourselves. We know that it gets below 40 degrees every winter but we decided to put in heaters that should be used in FL. So sorry, not our problem. Good luck!"  Ha ha.  Winner, winner, chicken dinner.

Oh this is too real. Reminds me of Liberty Square back in Provo.

I love reading about your life. Makes me excited to be a grown-up someday :)
