Happy Presidents day folks! It just so happens our door is one hour from our nations capitol. In order to celebrate this fine holiday weekend we went on a $15 day trip. This includes a metro fare for two and a snack. So we strapped Peanut in his moby wrap, under rob's jacket, and headed off. What a way to spend a day. We saw the White House, the Vietnam Memorial, and my favorite, the Lincoln Memorial. It was reverent inside as we read the
Gettysburg Address and
Lincoln's Second Inaugural Address. What a great nation we are blessed to live in, and what amazing, God fearing, leaders we have to learn from. We decided to use our nations history as an FHE topic for the next few weeks. I think it will make future visits even more interesting and rewarding.

Oh and as a side note the wind was incredibly gusty on Saturday. In the middle of our walk to the Lincoln Memorial Rob turns to me and yells, "Oh no, my glasses!" They had been blown off his face. Luckily we found them before they blew into the pond. We had a good laugh.
