Home Improvement

I borrowed my sister's camera for the time being so I can get updating. Home improvement is what is filling up most of our spare time around here and I've been so excited about the process. Rob has been busily installing ceiling fans, I have been decorating away, and we all have been painting. Complete room number one (ok, very nearly completed) is the nursery. I was toying with the idea of striping the walls and I am so glad we went for it. I had to just dive in and try it or I would have talked myself out of it. I went with an airplane theme. The art above the crib are prints of vintage air travel posters. I am so pleased with how wonderful they look and how simple they turned out to be to find and print online. And big bonus, I got all six matted frames, with glass, for a steal of a deal. We put up the old cloud curtains I made last year for the apartment and all that's left is to find the right priced rocking chair. I have a world map to hang on the opposite wall that is currently being mod- podged to a cork board so I'll post that later because I just couldn't wait to show of this progress.

Hiccup

We just got back from a great vacation to good Las Vegas and Salt Lake City. I was really looking forward to blogging about this right now, to bulk up my measly amounts of posts for this past year. Tragically my camera, Little Blue, had an accident. I kindly took Peanut to the aquarium at the Mandalay Bay Hotel. As I was holding him over the manta ray tank to look inside, he  promptly lost interest and took the camera off of my wrist (not sure how he managed that before I could stop him), and tossed it into the tank. I believe he was confused as every passer by for the previous few days had offered him a penny to throw in the many fountains lining the strip. This just looked like a bigger object and might proffer him a larger wish, I suppose. We were promptly chastised by the Manta Ray's tank manager to, "Not put our waterproof cameras in the tank to get a better picture." If she only knew how un-waterproof our camera was. So, in order to spare you from the purely verbal version of our trip I will sign off here until I eventually conjure a way to get those photographs off of the memory card without my camera and will get you all up to speed.

Adios!

Baby Bump

I'm officially closer to 25 weeks as we speak, but here's the photo from week 23. I'm feeling good but bending over is beginning to be a titch bit difficult. That means though, that cashew here, is big enough to start visibly making my belly move. As we speak I am watching my tummy jump. It's so exciting...although not when I'm trying to go to bed. I'm trying to swim and walk a lot to keep in shape and Peanut is keeping me on my toes as usual. The most common comment I get from passersby and friends is, "You are so small!".  I don't feel small when I look in the mirror, but I won't complain. I'll take another tiny baby. They slide out a little easier. Ha ha.  This pregnancy has been so smooth and seems to be easier than the first but maybe I'm just more distracted. Who knows. I feel so blessed to have a miracle growing inside of me! It truly is amazing to watch and feel a little person growing. With all the aches and pains I'm the lucky one in the couple to get to feel all of it. I'm always in awe about the whole process and the fact that it all works together so well. WOW!
