Anyways, I made up these cute window decorations out of spray-painted tin cans and other recycled kitchen containers of all shapes and sizes. We drilled holes and used a metal cutter in the wood shop to get these to work. Then I brought them to life with little tea candles. They span my whole window sill under the cob webs I hung up. Next project...Spiders! Let me know what you think.
Also this is a double dose of "Look what I made". I have a wonderful friend who got married this weekend and let me make a small wedding cake as a gift for the occasion. I thought it turned out very nice, especially since Rob held it in his lap for the 2 1/2 hour drive and we almost had an accident 20 minutes before the drop off point. Yay hubby! I just love the sugar sprinkles on the top. Glitter always gives things a little bit of a boost.

Okay, when I was scrolling through your post I could only see the cake topper while I was reading about your wedding cake. I thought I was looking at a sculptured temple cake. I about barfed in jealously of your sheer awesomeness and demanded to know why you weren't (very) famous yet. After I scrolled down, I scraped my jaw off the floor and cancelled the barf, but I still think it is awesome.
The cake is beautiful and I love your pumpkins! I'm so sad I don't get to walk by your window every day anymore and see your fun decorations.
Your so creative and talented. I'm jealous I'm not more like that. I'd rather just buy the decorations. Great job!
i feel kind of redundant in this comment because everyone is saying the same things i was going to.
but i was mostly going to comment that i like that one of your pumpkins is actually a country crock container.
Mackenzie, along with these crafting abilities I love me some butter, so it's only natural that one of the containers is country crock...and you notice I didn't photograph that side of the window.
Anna, the pumpkins are adorable, and the cake is beautiful! Is that a chocolate mold on top or did you do taht with fondant? Great job.
